Palestine is a geographic region in the Middle East, also known as the Holy Land. The
word ‘Palestine’ derives from the Greek word ‘Philistia,’ which means land of Philistines.
As a spokesman of common people, I wanna say that Palestinians do indeed exist; we
are individuals with hearts, minds, and hopes. As human beings, we have the right to
aspire. Our hearts beat for justice, our voices rise for Palestine. All people deserve
equality and justice; we won’t compromise on Palestinian rights, no matter how much
money you send to Israel’s apartheid government that for decades. We urge the
international community to dismantle Israel’s apartheid regime, and it’s our
responsibility to end Palestinian subjugation, guaranteeing safety and dignity for all.
The Palestinian story is that of being made a refugee on the lands you called home. The
Palestinian story is one of ongoing displacement and dehumanization since 1948. US
and Israel must be reconsidered…” “As we reflect on the sacredness of Al-Aqsa, one of
Islam’s holiest sites, we’re reminded of the stark contrast between the peace and
serenity that should accompany prayer and the harsh reality of violence and oppression
that Palestinians face. Imagine kneeling down to pray surrounded by the sounds of fear
as canisters explode, stun grenades shaking the ground, and the acrid smell of smoke
filling the air. This is the grim reality for Palestinians who seek to worship in their most
sacred place. Can we truly comprehend the depth of faith and resilience required to
pray amidst such chaos? The very idea that people can’t safely practice their faith
without fear of violence is an affront to humanity. The US State Department’s reluctance
to acknowledge the unjust killing of Palestinian children is a troubling indication of our
collective failure to prioritize human rights and dignity, that liberty, freedom, peace, and
justice are fundamental rights that belong to all individuals, regardless of their faith,
ethnicity. We should have to take steps and urge policymakers to take immediate action
to protect…” “Palestinians’ right to freedom of worship, ensure accountability for human
rights, freedom of worship, ensure abuses and support a peaceful two-state solution. No
child, regardless of their nationality, faith, or background, should ever have to live in
fear of sudden, senseless death descending. The thought of innocent children,
Palestinian or Israeli, cowering in terror as bombs and missiles rain down, is
unconscionable. When I bear witness to the devastating images and videos of
destruction, I am haunted by the sounds of children’s screams, their tiny voices
shattered by fear and trauma. The sheer horror of witnessing their childhoods ravaged
by conflict is heartbreaking. And also, I wanna write something that a mother named
Eman in Gaza said: ‘Tonight, I put the kids to sleep in our bedroom so that when we die,
we die together, and no one would live to live to mourn the loss of one another.’ This
statement broke me a little more because of the worst enemy country like America
funding will deny this mother’s right to…” “See children live without fear and to grow
old without painful trauma and violence. We must, with no hesitation, demand that
country like America recognize the unconditional support of Israel has enabled the
erasure of Palestinian life and the denial of the rights of millions of refugees, and
emboldens the apartheid policies. We stand in solidarity with Palestinians, advocating
for their rights and dignity. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations
to act. The Palestinian struggle is a human struggle, and it’s time we recognize it as such.
We must demand that our leaders take concrete steps towards justice, equality, and
peace. The status quo is unacceptable, and it’s time for change. The world can’t just
stand by and watch as Palestine bleeds. We need to raise our voices, to shout from the
rooftops, and to demand action. The Palestinian people deserve better, and it’s our
responsibility to ensure they get it. Let’s stand together, let’s stand for Palestine, and
let’s stand for humanity. The stories of Palestinian families, like Eman’s, should shake us
to our core. They’re not just statistics; they’re our brothers and sisters, our mothers and
fathers, our children and friends. They’re human beings deserving of love, respect, and
dignity. We must demand that our leaders take concrete steps towards justice, equality,
and peace. The international community has a role to play in this. They can start by
acknowledging the injustices faced by Palestinians and taking steps to address them.
This includes holding Israel accountable for its actions, ensuring Palestinians have
access to basic human rights like food, water, and healthcare, and supporting a peaceful
two-state solution. We, as individuals, can also make a difference. We can educate
ourselves about the issue, raise awareness, and support organizations working towards
peace and justice in Palestine. We can also contact our leaders, urging them to take
action and prioritize human rights over politics. The road to peace won’t be easy, but it’s
a journey we must take. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations to
create a world where everyone can live without fear, oppression, and violence. A world
where Palestinians can worship freely, where children can play without the sound of
bombs and missiles, and where mothers can sleep peacefully knowing their children are
safe.
